Happy Monday lovely people of the world! I was recently chatting with my co-blogger, Shawna and we were discussing the amazingness that is Sophia Bush (this happens weekly....). I simply stated that I wanted to be her, end of story. And I'm 100% serious. But not in an 'I'm going to kidnap her and take over as her impersonator' kind of way, more of I want to model myself after her. So why are we girl crushing on this lovely actress? Let's take a look....

B. Davis
For one thing, she played everyone's favorite character, Brooke Davis, on One Tree Hill. Tell me you watched that show and didn't want to be her, cause I'd know you'd be lying. Brooke was a confident & fashionable bad ass who also was a hopeless romantic and taught us all that being vulnerable was okay. Half of my life knowledge can be accredited to the qualities and knowledge she displayed every week in Tree Hill. I grew into adulthood watching this show, and while I never slept with my best friend's boyfriend, sat naked in a backseat or got mugged in my clothing store, I can relate to Brooke. She taught me to reach for the stars and to never settle for anything less than my Prince Charming (okay, still waiting on that one...).

the cake, I want it.
Also, Sophia Bush is imperfectly human. SHE'S REAL YOU GUYS. like, look at this picture. This is something very similar that you would find on mine or my friend's Instagrams. But it's more than that. She's not afraid to sit there and say hey, I'm not perfect and I don't expect you to be either. She also supports so many charities, it seems to me she's flawless. She uses her celebrity and money to support good causes, such as Pencils of Promise and I Am That Girl. Speaking of I Am That Girl....

inspirational.
She's all about women being themselves. If you watched OTH, you'll know the motto of B. Davis' clothing line, Clothes Over Bros, was '
Zero is Not a Size.' That was something that
she, Sophia Bush, wanted in the show. She wants young women to know that it's okay to be a size 6 or a size 14,
it doesn't matter. All that matters is who you are as a person, and that message for young women is important, SO IMPORTANT. Especially as a girl who feels the need to be a skinny twig, I love that she promotes this overall message of being true to yourself no matter what size you are.

her face. her hair. so not fair.
Finally, Sophia Bush is GORGEOUS. Not that that is even remotely important but look at her hair, her face, she's beautiful. I think she's so beautiful not only because of her flippin' gorgeous appearance that God graced her with, but also because of the good heart that she has always shines through. She's busy with being an actress, (on her new show, you haven't seen it? GO WATCH IT) but she still has time to go to charity events and support her ideals and values. Why doesn't everyone love her? Oh wait. They do.
So maybe my girl crush is based on how much I want her good hair, but it's also based on how much I want her good heart. I only hope that one day, I can be as kindhearted, giving, and as wonderful of a human being as Sophia Bush. I'm 99.99993% sure that my cohort would agree. Basically my new life motto is, what would Sophia Bush do?
